Early Voting Assistant
This is a temporary position through the end of November, with the possibility to be extended further.
Assist with the setup and break down of equipment and supplies at up to 20 early voting locations across the county.
Provide management assistance at training classes.
Help set up for each class (e.G. Place handouts on tables, make sure pens and supplies are available, straighten and tidy the training room).
Provide technical assistance with microphones, slideshows, and AV equipment.
Learn election laws and processes and explain them to training attendees.
Organize inventory training supplies and make recommendations on supply needs.
Assist training attendees with basic use of a laptop in computer training classes.
Provide telephone support to polling places on Election Day, advise officials on election procedures and troubleshooting.
Assist in reconciliation after elections and identify training issues and other issues that need follow-up.
Assist with the packing, staging, and loading onto moving trucks of early voting equipment and supplies.
Assist with the setup and break down of equipment and supplies at up to 8 early voting locations across the county.
Provide daily courier service on a fixed route.
Deliver additional ballots and supplies.
Pick up prior day`s voted ballots and completed forms.
Assist with the preparation of the next day`s supplies to be delivered.
Job Req uirements:
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Significant communication skills and customer service skills.
Ability to collaborate and communicate well in a tight-knit team environment.
Flexibility to perform different tasks throughout the day, including light labor, light tech support, supply inventory, general office tasks, and other supporting roles.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Complete a background check, drug screen, and a Motor Vehicle Report.
