The Greer Group is recruiting an IT Assistant for a client in Raleigh, NC.
This is a temporary positions.

Job Description:
Prepare peripherals for transport to early voting locations (printers, barcode scanners, mice, keyboards).
Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, peripheral, and Windows issues.
Set up and troubleshoot networks at early voting locations (including routers, switches, and network cables).
Provide on-site IT support to 2-8 early voting locations during the 17 day voting period.
Assist with the setup and break down of equipment and supplies at up to 8 early voting locations across the county.
Set up laptop and printer stations at early voting locations across the county.
Provide management assistance at training classes.
Provide technical assistance with microphones, slideshows, and AV equipment.
Assist training attendees with basic use of a laptop in computer training classes.
Assist in reconciliation after elections and identify training issues and other issues that need follow-up.

Job Requirements: Employee will be required to do occasional business related driving using their own car and daily driving during the 17 day early voting period -- employee must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to drive.
Strong experience troubleshooting computer software, hardware, printers, networking, drivers, and Windows operating systems.
Strong knowledge of Windows 7 operating system.
Experience providing first-tier computer technical support preferred.
Experience working with routers, switches, and document scanners preferred.
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Significant communication skills.
Ability to collaborate and communicate well in a tight-knit team environment.
Flexibility to perform different tasks throughout the day, including light labor, light tech support, supply inventory, general office tasks, and other supporting roles.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit and stand for up to 3 hours.
Ability to work an alternating schedule of weekdays, weeknights, and weekends over a 6-8 week period.
Complete a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report.
Associates degree required, four year degree preferred.
