This is a temporary position through May, with the possibility of being further extended.
Assist in training over 2000 precinct officials and early voting workers for the upcoming 2018 elections.
Assist in editing of training materials including PowerPoints, manuals, flow charts, etc.
Provide trainer and official assistance before, during, and after class.
Become very familiar with election procedures and laws pertaining to primary and general elections in NC.
Provide technical assistance with microphones, slideshows, and AV equipment.
Comfortable with making announcements in front of large groups and assisting learners in a one-on-one setting during training classes.
Comfortable assisting learners with use of laptop computers in person and by phone.
Enter notes in Microsoft Word and create Excel spreadsheets as needed.
Provide telephone support for election day precincts, advise officials on procedures and troubleshooting.
Assist in reconciliation after elections and identify training issues and other issues that need follow-up.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to sit and stand for up to 1 hour and lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to work days, evenings, and Saturdays over a six-eight week period - this position requires EXTENSIVE overtime.
Strong sense of organization and attention to detail.
