The Greer Group is seeking an Activities Director for a residential community located in North Raleigh, NC. This is temp to perm opportunity, full-time hours, with the flexibility to work weekends when needed.
-Manage the activities and operations of the community clubhouse recreational facilities (excluding the swimming pool and pool deck area); in conjunction with the association board of directors and Management Company.
-Coordinate use of the clubhouse by association board approved clubs; request updated homeowner lists from Management Company for verification of eligibility for rentals.
-Organize/maintain all calendars and dates.
-Work with the association social committee to develop/schedule/execute events.
-Manage preparation of special events and entertainment contracting with respective vendors:
-Basic Events: Implement one community event per month, i.E. Local restaurant promotional event, community yard sale, community charity organization.
-Signature events: Planned/executed/marketed above normal community event. Set/collect ticket price with board approval.
-Pay for Events: Not for Profit event, i.E. Soccer, aqua aerobics, run club, etc.
-Create promotional materials for events.
-Upload event photos to association website/social committee Facebook page.
-Check/return voicemails and emails daily.
-Manage the activities budget and clubhouse rental expense/income revenue.
-Deliver rental deposits/payments/monies to Management Company.
-Detailed financials report by 5th of the month following each quarter.
-Year to Date revenue reports for rentals.
-Check grounds; monitor cleanliness between cleaning visits, reposition furniture and benches after activities.
-Monitor recreation facilities and report issues, i.E. Burnt out light bulbs, broken/damaged or missing signs, general upkeep or maintenance items to Management Company.
-Coordinate clubhouse alarm call out list (one resident from each neighborhood). Contact police as appropriate and report incident to Management Company.
-Clubhouse to be kept neat/tidy at all times.
-Association expectation to have a monthly newsletter emailed to the residents; the newsletter can be an overview of the monthly scheduled events through the social committee, information on upcoming maintenance projects, pool opening and closing information, etc.
-College educated preferred but not required.
-High school degree mandatory.
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends with the ability to monitor and manage on-site activities.
-Experience working with a residential community is preferred.
-Experience in event planning/activities management preferred.
-Friendly, upbeat and personable.
