The Greer Group is seeking a Field Assistant for a local Insurance firm. This is a temp to hire opportunity and the need is immediate.
Perform secretarial and administrative duties in the maintenance of claims files and operation.
Open, date stamp, and direct incoming mail to appropriate adjuster.
Set up files for new claims received.
Enter all new claims into claim log, enter on database.
File claims received electronically.
Receive incoming phone calls and take loss reports, messages, etc.
Close files on claims log as requested by adjuster.
Generate form letters as requested.
Assist Field Examiner in daily claims operations.
Process outgoing mail.
Schedule adjuster`s appointments if necessary.
Assist adjusters in ``preliminary`` claims handling such as ordering police/theft reports, ordering appraisals, etc.
Preferably college or business degree.
Ability to conduct business in appropriate manner with clients by telephone or in person.
Dependable, responsible person able to work independently and work well with others.
