The Greer Group is seeking a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager for a temp to hire opportunity at a company located in Wilson, NC.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
-Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by on-site management.
-Responsible for orientation and training of employees.
-Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events
-Prepare and cook to order food that may require short preparation time.
Qualifications and Skills:
-High School diploma or equivalent required, culinary degree preferred.
-3-5 years of related work experience.
-Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
-Desire to manage employees and move into leadership role with company.
-Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
-Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.
