The Greer Group is recruiting an Energy Benefits Technician for our client in Raleigh. This is a temporary position through June, with the possibility to be further extended! In office 100% for 3 months, then becomes a hybrid position –working 3 days remotely per week, 2 days in the office per week. Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Economic Benefits Technician to join our team. The Economic Benefits Technician will play a critical role in our social services office by managing the processing of applications for various assistance programs. This individual will ensure that applications are reviewed, processed, and documented accurately and efficiently, enabling us to provide timely assistance to those in need. Responsibilities:
Receive and Review Applications: Receive incoming applications for energy program. Review applications to ensure all required information and documentation are provided.
Verify Eligibility: Verify applicant eligibility for energy program based on established criteria. Conduct necessary checks and follow-up as needed to confirm eligibility.
Process Applications: Enter application data into databases or case management systems accurately and efficiently. Generate necessary paperwork, notifications, and correspondence related to application processing.
Communicate with Applicants: Communicate with applicants regarding the status of their applications, required documentation, and any additional information needed. Provide assistance and support to applicants throughout the application process.
Maintain Records: Organize and maintain application files and documentation in accordance with office procedures. Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly stored.
Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or concerns that arise.
Follow Up and Resolution: Follow up on outstanding items or incomplete applications to ensure timely resolution. Address any discrepancies or concerns regarding application information promptly and professionally.
Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Follow established policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the accurate and confidential handling of applicant information.
Job Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a social services or healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with database management systems.
Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to serving individuals and families in need.
