Job Description

The Greer Group is recruiting a part time HR Administrative Assistant for our client in Durham, NC. 
This is a temporary position, with the possibility to become permanent!
  • 32 hours per week.
  • Provides general administrative support to the Human Resources Manager, as well as, performing multiple departmental tasks 
  • Serve as resource for staff members regarding benefits, trainings, time off, workplace issues etc.
  • Update staff vacation/sick leave spreadsheet from staff request forms and submit for calendar.
  • Update staff benefits online as changes occur: medical, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage.
  • Track staff mandatory trainings; schedule and coordinate speakers and staff attendance, schedule catering, prepare sign-in sheets, handouts, certificates, and surveys; maintain appropriate records.
  • Process deductible reimbursements and submit check requests to Finance Department.
  • Create files for any new staff and track forms to ensure new staff files are complete.  
  • Keep adequate supply of the most recent blank forms for staff files.
  • Track staff evaluations: 3-month, 6-month, and annual; send out evaluation forms to supervisors well in advance of due dates, track and file when returned to department.
  • Track program staff licensures and certifications and ensure that most current copies are on file in HR office.
  • File documents for current and inactive staff in files, medical files, and vacation files.
  • Maintain files to ensure that all personnel files are compliant in our ACA recordkeeping and reporting for audits.
  • Work with department heads and supervisors to develop job descriptions for each staff position and to ensure that current staff job descriptions are correct.
  • Conduct new employee searches and/or orientations.
  • Manage Safety program for organization (inspections, training, etc.)
  • Sign POs for Finance.
  • Complete any other administrative, research, or other tasks as needed. 

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • College Education or a combination of High School Education and experience.
  • Previous administrative, office or HR experience preferred.
