The Greer Group has 2nd shift Assembler (Mechanical/Electrical) positions in South Asheville with an international company. Great opportunity for hire! All positions are long term with the opportunity for hire! You will work in a clean, relaxed and comfortable team environment in a facility that has a full service cafeteria. Work in a comfortalbe temperature environment! If you are willing to learn, we are willing to train! The position performs winding, assembly, sometimes complex and repetitive wiring to produce a complete sub and final assembly of control equipment for industrial use. Essential Functions: Works from drawings, engineering specification, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment. Determines necessary parts and material, and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock. Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping and attaching terminals. Basic Qualifications: Must be able to lift 35 lbs consistently, with frequent standing and bending required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be willing to learn how to interpret drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams. Experience with hand assembly and/or use of power and/or hand tools helpful. Background Screening & Drug Testing Required. Must be able to train on 1st shift if required. Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift - 3: 30 pm to 2: 00 am, Monday - Thurs with overtime available * Overtime pay 41-45 hours, Double Time Pay 46+ Hours! *Paid weekly, benefits available after 30 days;steel toed shoes provided by Eaton.
