The Greer Group is recruiting a Child Welfare Supervisor for our client in Raleigh! This is temporary position through June 2026, with the possibility to be further extended.
The standard work schedule for a Child Welfare Supervisor is 8: 30 a.M. To 5: 15 p.M., Monday through Friday. However, based on the needs of the program, the Child Welfare Supervisor may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or other non-standard hours. Work schedules shall be adjusted as necessary to meet the operational and supervisory needs of the YAP (Youth Awaiting Placement) program.
This position serves as the director supervisor for youth awaiting placements that are in the custody of Wake County.
The youth awaiting placements reside temporarily in our building, which operates 24/7 for our youth awaiting placements.
Youth served are both entering foster care and those who have disruptions in placements.
The position is responsible for providing administrative leadership and supervision for 5 Residential Case Aide Supervisors, 30 Residential Case Aides, and additional support staff. The Supervisor will ensure proper oversight of the budget, managing both revenues and expenditures, and working with the Placement Team to secure permanent placement for our youth.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for developing the emergency action plan for youth and ensuring compliance with Wake County policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring staff compliance with all administrative and fiscal tasks.
Managing the program budget, audits, and related activities.
Supervising and coaching staff to support performance and professional growth.
Consulting and negotiating with other professionals and stakeholders to achieve program objectives.

Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in a Human Services field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services Administration) required.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of direct service experience in a residential setting (e.g., Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, children’s level group home) or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Professional licensure in a human services discipline preferred, but not required.
