Forklift Operator/Material Handler –Temp to Hire The Greer Group has an exciting new temp-to-hire opportunity available for a Material Handler with a growing manufacturing company in the Canton, NC area. This is a great opportunity for dependable candidates looking for steady hours, overtime potential, and long-term career growth.
Shift: Monday –Thursday, 6: 00 AM –4: 30 PM Pay: $18.50/hour Overtime: Time and a half paid after 40 hours worked What You Will Do:
Move materials and products throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and production areas.
Supply production lines with materials as needed.
Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging finished products for shipment.
Perform routine material counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
Operate material handling equipment as trained.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
What You Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
Ability to lift, move, and carry materials throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Basic computer and scanning experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and dependability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
