The Greer Group is recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator for our client in Durham, NC.

This is a direct hire opportunity!


Monday – Friday, 9: 00 AM – 5: 30 PM.  

  • The Human Resources Coordinator participates and assists in the daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruiting, onboarding process, benefits, employee engagement and assisting in enforcing company policy and practices.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, performance and talent management, employee communication, productivity, staff recognition, and assist in staff training and development.
  • Conducts or acquires the required reference, background checks and employee eligibility verifications for all candidates per company and Federal Contractor policies, as they pertain to recruiting new staff.
  • Full range of talent recruiting coordination and procedures (working closely with hiring managers and staffing agencies to bring new talent to the company.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employments laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinates and implements employee programs and communications to staff to enhance their HR and company work experience, by providing information and support in specifically developed campaigns. Responsibilities include regular employee newsletters and updates on company and departmental information.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist in the coordination of Employee Benefits including: assistance with wellness plans, provider access, member updates and elevate concerns to carriers as needed.
  • General Human Resources practices to maintain required documentation for compliance regulations
  • Assist in OSHA / HR related duties to maintain accurate TB test / Hep B tracking for those staff who are patient facing in clinic settings.
  • Maintain personnel files to assure compliance with company policies, State/Federal regulations and law and Medicare accreditation standards. Actively participate with recruiting practices and hiring process of employees.
  • Actively participate with benefits administration including enrollments, employee assistance, reporting and other tasks as needed.
  • Responsible for employee engagement / communication programs.
  • Assist with FMLA, STD and other employee leave processes and documentation.
  • Assist Director, HR/Facilities with vendor relations.
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment activities to ensure staff are educated on their benefit options and assisted in the enrollment process.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, prefer candidates with additional education or certifications in the Field of Human Resources.
  • HRCI / SHRM Certifications preferred.
  • 2-3 years minimum of current work experience in a Corporate HR setting.
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel (Power BI experience).
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat pdf.
