Sales Development Representative Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Support Assistant to join our growing team. This role is primarily focused on cold calling potential clients using our CRM system, while also supporting the external sales team, dealer network, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, and passionate about driving sales growth through proactive outreach and exceptional support. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Outreach
Act as the primary point of contact for inbound sales inquiries, customer requests and callbacks.
Conduct a high volume of outbound calls daily using a CRM to introduce products, qualify prospects, and identify decision-makers.
Build rapport and maintain relationships with potential customers through effective communication and follow-up.
Professionally handle client objections and set up appointments or demos for the sales team.
Monitor and respond to calls on the company cell phone, including after-hours calls as needed.
Product Knowledge & Consultation
Provide accurate, technical product information and recommendations to customers.
Educate customers and internal teams on product features, benefits, and applications.
Stay current on product portfolio and key industry trends.
Support product demonstrations, webinars, and training sessions as needed.
Support & Reporting
Collaborate with sales and marketing to improve scripts and outreach strategies
Share feedback and insights from calls to help refine lead targeting and messaging
Recommend process improvements based on observed trends, objections or customer behaviors.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred
Experience:
1+ years in customer service, administrative support, or inside sales —preferably in a technical, construction, or industrial sales environment.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred but not required):
Familiarity with construction equipment, hydraulic systems, or heavy machinery
Skills Needed:
Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills
Proficient in MS Office, CRM and communication platforms
Active listening and objection-handling abilities
Ability to explain product value clearly and effectively
Excellent customer service mindset
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
