Job Description
The Greer Group is looking for an Electronic Lab Technician for our Manufacturing Client in Raleigh.
1st shift.$22-$35/hour depending on experience.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for supporting a variety of product design engineering tasks including prototype development, testing and related laboratory maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Follows safe work practices involving energy isolation (Lock Out/Tag Out)
B. Installs equipment & instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products
C. Performs testing directed by engineer and/or in accordance with applicable test methods and standards
D. Implements modifications to electro/mechanical hardware and embedded software
E. Records and analyzes test data for determination of validity and product performance
F. Documents product non-conformances and provides feedback to project teams on test activities, open issues
G. Organizes test data and prepares test reports
H. Fabricates electro-mechanical test fixtures and electronic cable assemblies
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
A. A.A.S in Electrical Engineering
B. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related position
C. Must have proficiency with MS Office Applications
D. Must have good written and oral communications skills and be proficient in preparation of formal test procedures and reports
E. Must have strong knowledge of electrical test equipment usage and applications
F. Preferred: experience with metal fabrication equipment such as band saw, drill press and press brake
G. Must have experience in fabrication of electro/mechanical prototype equipment and harnesses
H. Must have experience in through-hole solder techniques
I. Preferred experience in test automation (LabView, Visual Basic) preferred
J. Experience in electrical power conversion with knowledge of low voltage multiphase electrical systems preferred
