- Minimum of five years of paralegal experience required; preference will be given to candidates with relevant commercial bankruptcy or civil litigation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; an Associate degree combined with commensurate experience will be considered.
- North Carolina Notary Public preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Above-average technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, as well as Adobe PDF.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple projects simultaneously, and take ownership of projects through completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by email, and by telephone.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of attorneys and staff and work cohesively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must successfully pass a North Carolina background check and drug screening.
