The Greer Group is recruiting a Mail Specialist for our client in Raleigh. This is a long-term temporary position, with the possibility to become permanent! Monday –Friday, 8 AM –5 PM.
This role is responsible for managing, receiving, and delivering all mail and deliveries for the Public Health Center.
Key duties include overseeing accurate distribution to specific programs, as well as the pick-up, receipt, sorting, and placement of internal mail, United States Postal Service (USPS) mail, and other items from commercial couriers and carriers into appropriate mailboxes for retrieval.
The deliveries will come to a loading dock and then you will distribute them throughout the building (new site opening on 2/23 and is 154, 000 square feet).
The mail will be delivered to one location in the building and you will have to pick it up from that location and distribute it to internal mail drop boxes.
Some packages will be medicine as well and delivery will need to be prioritized due to refrigeration requirements.
Job Requirements
Prior mail/warehouse experience preferred.
Comfortable sitting and standing for periods of time.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable using a dolly, pushcart, and pallet jack.
