The Greer Group is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist. Working in the Asheville Downtown area. This is a 3 month project placement with opportunities for longer term employment once current assignment is completed. $22.00 per hour.
Must have medical billing experience
Understanding of payments & denials/remark codes
Job Duties:
Coding: Coding patient diagnoses, procedures, services, and treatments
Submitting claims: Submitting claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
Sending invoices: Sending invoices to patients for remaining balances after insurance payments
Tracking payments: Tracking payments and following up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills
Correcting claims: Correcting rejected claims
Generating reports: Generating reports and analytics on billing and reimbursement trends
Creating payment plans: Working with patients to create payment plans
Communicating: Communicating with patients, providers, and insurance agents
Maintaining confidentiality: Maintaining confidentiality with patients
Adhering to standards: Adhering to professional standards, hospital or clinic policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements
