The Greer Group is hiring a Production Planner/Scheduler for our client located in Oxford, NC. This individual is responsible for the effective execution and oversight of scheduling, materials planning, capacity planning, and demand forecasting across all manufacturing operations. This role ensures that production schedules are optimized for efficiency and that materials and resources are aligned to meet customer demand, delivery timelines, and inventory targets.
Hours: Must work 40/Hours a week. The schedule is pretty flexible, as long as you work the 40 hours. (Half day Fridays)! Pay: $50, 000-$69, 000 + Bonuses!
Essential Functions:
Generate and manage manufacturing orders in alignment with demand forecasts and production capacity.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials required to support production schedules.
Develop and maintain manufacturing schedules, prioritizing production activities to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to optimize production schedules for maximum equipment utilization.
Monitor inventory levels and update production data daily to reflect real-time conditions.
Factor transportation lead time into planning processes to ensure on-time delivery performance
Perform inventory adjustments to reconcile physical stock levels with system data
Liaise with department supervisors to assess work progress and communicate updates regarding changes in processes from quality or engineering
Establish and manage inventory targets, balancing cost efficiency with product availability
Maintain finished goods inventory at optimal levels to ensure high service levels and meet customer expectations
Collaborate with leadership to implement changes that address recurring issues related to product quality or delivery performance
Create and manage purchase orders for subcontracted services and schedule them in accordance with production needs
Plan and monitor subcontracted finishing processes to ensure on-time completion and delivery
Support efforts to maintain inventory accuracy through periodic audits and system updates
Schedule, expedite, and coordinate the flow of critical materials, including internal transfers and conditional material releases
