The Greer Group has a great direct hire opportunity available for an experienced Quality Manager with a leading manufacturing company in the Asheville area! This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality professional with strong leadership experience, ISO expertise, and a background in manufacturing quality systems. The Quality Manager will oversee quality assurance activities, support continuous improvement initiatives, manage quality personnel, and serve as a key leader within the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain compliance with the company Quality Management System (QMS)
Serve as Management Representative for the ISO program
Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
Develop and maintain quality metrics, statistical reporting, and trend analysis
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Support manufacturing and product development teams with quality and process improvement initiatives
Oversee customer complaints, supplier quality issues, RMAs, and non-conforming materials
Supervise, train, and develop quality technicians and inspectors
Manage calibration systems, metrology standards, and test equipment oversight
Conduct supplier quality audits and support supplier development activities
Assist with environmental and compliance requirements including REACH, ROHS, BAA, and TAA
Support continuous improvement efforts across the facility
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of quality management or related manufacturing quality experience
Strong ISO 9001 Quality Management System experience required
ISO Lead Auditor certification required
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager preferred
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and statistical analysis tools
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems
ERP system experience preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with fiber and copper cable manufacturing and related industry standards
Supplier quality management experience
Customer-facing quality support experience
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
