The Greer Group is recruiting a Records/Data Analyst for our client in Raleigh. This is a long-term temporary position through June 2026!
Seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Records Analyst with strong data entry skills to join our Child Welfare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Social Services setting and a deep understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate and confidential records. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all sensitive records are managed effectively and in compliance with applicable regulations. On-site work will be confidential and sensitive in nature and will require organizational skills, researching issues and problem-solving, decision-making, judgment and tact. The setting will be an open office plan with 10-12 team members (remote work is not an option). By joining our team, you will contribute to the critical work of protecting and supporting children and families in our community.
In a team setting, review case files and organize into logical groupings to be scanned by a third-party vendor.
Follow documented processes and highlight issues in a timely manner.
Resolve administrative problems that would not typically require the supervisor's involvement.
Adapt to changing process requirements as the project progresses.
Analyze paper records for categorization, organization, and date-ordering, in accordance with documented process and guidelines.
Enter data into spreadsheets, quality check each other’s work.
Operate Fujitsu Scanners to create digital images of case files, in accordance with written instructions.
Enter metadata into our Child Welfare records management system, double checking for quality of the data entered.
Independently correct image and data entry quality issues.
Physically lift and move records boxes (able to lift 35 pounds) for processing.
Ask questions and be receptive to feedback (with team and team leaders).
Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations, including confidentiality laws with respect to Child Welfare.
Create spreadsheets with large numbers of rows of data without mistakes.
Escalating complex issues to team leader or supervisor for assistance in order to maintain focus and momentum.
Highlight errors for correction by other members of the team or team leaders.
Able to periodically rotate assignments between the major project functions (sorting, scanning, quality checking)
Accurately enter and update information into Excel spreadsheets that will be used for tracking location and status of records and for reporting the progress of our project.
Job Requirements
Exceptional teamwork, communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Strong data entry skills with intermediate to advanced use of MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience working in a SharePoint or MS Teams environment.
Exemplary organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail and follow-up; must be able to meet strict deadlines and multi-task.
Reliable, positive, flexible, adaptable, patient, with the ability to work well with various individuals in an open environment.
Ability to collaborate closely with other team members, bouncing problem-solving ideas off one another.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry and records management
Previous experience in a Social Services setting is highly desirable.
