The Greer Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader for a great company in the East Asheville area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating team efforts, meeting production goals, and ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld. Position SummaryThe Team Leader coordinates and focuses the team’s efforts to meet production schedules and customer requirements. In partnership with the Production Supervisor, this role proactively identifies and addresses scheduling challenges, quality concerns, safety hazards, material shortages, and resource needs that may impact performance. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and conduct training to ensure team members meet quality and performance standards
Provide hands-on, on-the-job training and monitor progress
Review weekly production schedules and develop plans to ensure deadlines are met
Communicate obstacles or scheduling concerns to leadership
Alert team members to special customer requirements or production conditions
Coordinate with stockroom to ensure materials are pulled and available for production
Identify and address material shortages before production begins
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Ensure workflow moves efficiently to meet shipping schedules
Oversee order issuance, first-piece inspections, in-process checks, and required documentation
Facilitate team discussions to resolve problems and improve operations
Represent the team in interdepartmental meetings as needed
Promote service excellence, quality standards, and a positive team culture
Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate Degree in Manufacturing (preferred)
Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience in cable or connectivity assembly industry preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings
Self-motivated with strong initiative
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and inventory control teams
Understanding of quality and compliance standards
Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 is a plus
